ABSTRACT The study assessed the effect of community participation on the health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda. It was guided by three specific objectives, that included i) establish the impact of community participation on the health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda; ii) determine the effect of social inclusion on the health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda; iii) assessing the effect of financial protection and the health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda. This research employed descriptive research design to describe the variables and the questionnaire and interview guide were used as the research instruments. Descriptive statistics used in this study included frequencies, means and regression analysis on variables. The findings revealed the following: there existed a positive and significant effect of people’s mobilization capacity on health service delivery in Makyindye division Kampala Uganda, social inclusion significantly affected the health service delivery, the findings of this study proved a positive significant effect of financial protection on health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda. Still the conclusions were that; people’s mobilization capacity can highly increase the health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda, social inclusion can lead to an improvement in the health service delivery in Makyindye division Kampala Uganda, and finally financial protection significantly affectsthe health service delivery in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda. The researcher recommended that the community resource mobilization groups in Makyindye division, Kampala Uganda should establish recruitment, deployment, and retention strategies to ensure a consistent and sustainable supply of trained health workers. They should also put in place strategies such that people living with HIV and AIDS can live a positive and productive life. The Ministry of l-Iealth should organize counseling and emotional support for people with HIV and AIDS and their families.
