ABSTRACT
The research work based on strengthening competitive advantage of rural business through quality and environmental management system was carried using Emenite Ltd Emene Enugu a company in the manufacturing sector of Nigerian Economy as a case study. To make the work a fact based one, questionnaires were distributed randomly to staffs of Emenite Ltd in other to obtain facts and information necessary to answer the three (3) hypotheses questions designed by the researcher. Later on the data obtained were analysed by the use of frequency distribution and percentage and the results were presented in tables.  The researcher noticed that total quality and environmental management are the prerequisites for reducing errors and unproductive activities in the company since the company had business advantage in view.  It was also discovered that for efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational performance total quality management must be adhered to strictly and followed to the later. Finally from the research findings, it became quite obvious that quality and environmental management goes beyond managers rendering lip service to conventional service quality wisdom.  It also transcend a strenuous process, the success of which depends on an elusive combination of organizational,  market management process to produces results through adherence to a clear well-articulated and consistent methodology.
