ABSTRACT
Capital budgeting techniques is an efficient allocation of capital finance functions. It involves decisions to commit the firms funds to the long term assets. Capital budgeting is of considerable to the firm since the techniques tend to determine its value by influencing its growth, profitability and risk. It further explains how the decision can be diversified. The project covers five chapters. The review of related literature of this research work according to different authors and scholars mostly I. M. Pandey emphasized that firm’s investment decision would generally include expansion, acquisition and replacement of long term assets. Questionnaire, interview and documentation methodology was employed in analyzing the assembled data in order to produce meaningful information. The data was carefully analyzed and it was discovered that the techniques of capital budgeting has effect on good project management decision. Based on the discovery the research concluded that the application of capital budgeting influenced a great extent towards increasing profitability and shareholders wealth. Consequently, it was recommended that it will assist the company in efficient, effective and wise allocation of its scarce resources.
