(A CASE STUDY OF NIGERIA MINERAL WATER ONITSHA)
ABSTRACT

Many business today always have the chance of success or failure, success and failure may result as proper management or mismanagement of any organization static or managers.  This project work is focus on the causes or business success and failure in Nigeria economy, “A case study of Nigeria Mineral Water Industries Limited Limca Road Private Mail Sap Onitsha. Chapter one, dealt with the definition of problem Limica are having. Chapter two reviews some literature that have direct bearing on the topic, with a view of giving the work a proper background. Chapter three dealt with the type of instrument for collection of data includes the use of questionnaire and oral discussion. The method of data analysis were also discussed.   Chapter four of this work dealt with the analysis of the data collected and the result of these analysis one then used in testing the hypothesis, while chapter five of this work posited some recommendations

INTRODUCTION
1.1       BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Business management or management generally is a function of executive leadership. It is primarily a mental avidity combined with the work of panning, organizing and controlling for the activities of an organization for the accomplishment of certain designated objectives.  
The understanding of the basic problems of an organizational management from the basis of success or failure of the organization (business). These basic problems includes peoples, structure and change management knowledge of cause affect relationship identities the variables necessary to achieve the desire outcome eg. Generally, workers out put (desired effect is based on salary paid (cause) .
They interact which goods are sold, product manufactured, work co-ordinate, budgets and plans are converted. More congruent behaviour and interaction are within the organizations purpose and task, the more effective the organization purpose and task, the more effective the organizational will be achieving its performance goals.
Researcher expenses point that when process is consciously examined and managed or organizational members-they perceive improvements in he quality of decision improvement in the quality of decision coordination and effectiveness. Clearly of goals and strategy, improvement and motivation and satisfaction among other processes and outcomes. The present research project is aimed of investigating how far these processes apply to the success or failure in Nigeria economy especially the success story of Nigeria mineral waters ltd (hence) Onitsha.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY UNDER STUDY
The Nigeria mineral water industry (Limca) the makers of hold sport, Pale Sode, Tim and Poani water etc. Onitsha was established in October, 1988 and had two major share holders namely coca cola Nigeria limited who produces the concentrate, bottles, plastics in other words referred to as raw materials and produce the minerals and in turn sell it. In marketing statement the coca coal owns the franchise to produce the mineral while the Indians owns the trademark.
The coca cola Nigeria limited owns fifty percent share while the Indians also owns fifty percent share. The average daily production is six thousand cases while the daily sales is between an average of four to five thousand case per day. Their staff strength for junior staff is one hundred while senior staff is eight. They have four sales trucks covering the basic territory and seen trucks covering depots.  
1.2       STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
Problems why limca is not matching up with others. The problem been experienced by this company could be as a result of not meeting up in terms of challenges of the modern term most companies have really attract their customers, improve in the quality of their product, implying the best in terms of marketing management really advertise their product, put in enough finance in terms of advert, gift items, which varies in terms of cash, C. C. D cap fan, T.V. etc. This are market strategies which they device as against other companies, this also is not only due annually but a continue ones which means is done from time to time, is true that a lot of funds is involved, but the end part or returns is very fat. Most companies are scared because of funds, and even when they do may not be able to make it a continues one, so when it seems their really meeting up, in no time you see them fading out, in the competition. Another is the quality of product, been giving to public or been expected from this company from the public. The company may really be scared of giving out this required quality due to the fact that when this is done, the price o the said product may increased and may not actually fit in, in the competitive market. Even when this is done once you may notice, it may not be regular, and you see them fading out in no time. So in terms of running such company also e in place to boost production efficiency, they should look into employing good managers, and sales. The company should also employ co-operate strategies which they were good in, when the company started in 1986. All this are problems which makes it hard for this company to really meet up with the challenges of N.B.C.
1.3       PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
The objective of the study include the following
1.           To identity if poor management contribute to product failure.
2.           To ascertain if efficient management system helped in goal attainment organization.
3.           To determine if worker are motivated to put in the best.
4.           To ascertain the success and failure of he product in the market.
5.           To determine whether quality personnel are recruited in the organization.
1.4       RESEARCH QUESTION
There are some of the research question the researcher needs to ensure the efficiency of the project work.
1.           Does poor management contributed to the product failure.
2.           How has the efficient management system helped in goal attainment in organization are workers motivated to put in the best.
3.           How successful is the product in the market.
4.           Are quality personnel employed in the organization.

1.6       SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The important and significance of this study stems from the fact that the survival and success of any business organization depends on the successful implementation of hits formulated corporate strategy.
The Nigeria business environment has continue to charge, technology continue to charge people, continues to charge their consumption habit and behaviour because of scarcity. There is needs for managers to aces the task environment for their business organization in their respective business environment.
1.7       SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The scope of the study focused primarily on the managerial strategies, strategy implementation and management problems encountered by and he predecessors between 1986 and 1997.
The major study of this research work was wider in scope and it was limited basically on the study of Nigeria mineral water industries ltd (Limica) Onitsha, Anambra State and her predecessors.
