ABSTRACT The. research being reported on was done guided by the topic 'An investigation on the children's abuse', and .its contribution to their performance· in Buyinja Sub County, Namayingo District. The objectives that were used are; (1) to identify the types of child abuse in Buyinja Sub County, (ll) to establish the factors that contribute to the child abuse in the Sub County, and (111) to come up With strategies that can be used to mitigate the factors leading to child abuse in the Sub County, Buyinja Sub County, Namayingo District. Findings; adults to a total of 89 got involved in this study as a sample size. It was as well discovered that children in the research area are faced with a number of child abuse factors. These are categorized as social, emotional, sexual, physical, and psychological, though these occur at different intervals. I ! ' ' Conclusion; it is concluded that the causes of the abuse in Buyinja Sub County is majorly I econmilical. This has heat parents too hard to the extent of being able to meet their children's basic needs. ~ecommendation; parents should be provided the !GAs that they can engage in in order to generate income in Buyinja Sub County, their knowledge should be built to the extent of they being able to identify child abuse signs, and be able to manage them.
