ABSTRACT

The study was set to find out the influence of intrinsic reward. and employee commitment in organizations taking ICOBI as a case study. The study was guided by three objectives including; To examine the effect of intrinsic reward and employee's commitment, to establish the effect of recognition and commitment and to determine the effect of recognition and commitment, to establish the effect of promotion and commitment Data was collected using questionnaire tool and interview guide and during data collection a basic research design that was in a descriptive manner was used as both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were also used with a sample of 70 respondents. The study established that the study findings also shows that work pressure does not contribute to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (]COB]) with 20(28.6%) of the respondents strongly disagreed that work pressure contributes to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (]COB!), 20(28.6%) disagreed, 4(5.7%) were not sure 16(22.9%) agreed. and 10(14.3%) strongly agreed that work pressure contributes to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (JCOBl).The respondents were also established that lack of promotions contributes to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (!COB!) as shown by 1(1.4%) respondents who strongly disagreed that lack of promotions contributes to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (]COB!), 9(12.9%) disagreed, 6(8.6%) were not sure, 34(48.6%) agreed, and 20(28.6%) strongly agreed that lack of promotions contributes to low rate of employee commitment at integrated community based initiatives (ICOBI).The study findings also found out that employees looking for better jobs leads to labor turnover at integrated community based initiatives (!COB!) as interpreted 8(11 .4%) of the respondents strongly disagreed that employees looking for better jobs leads to labor turnover at integrated community based initiatives (!COB!), 6(8.6%) disagreed, 6(8.6%) were not sure then 23(32.9%) respondents agreed. and 27(38.6%) strongly agreed that employees looking for better jobs leads to labor turnover at integrated community based initiatives (]COB])
