Abstract

This research study focused on Corona virus and organizational innovativeness in the private sector of Rivers State using Hightaste Bakeries Limited as the case study.The Corona virus pandemic has caused serious chaos and has posed a big challenge to the Health system of the world. Although, some innovations have helped reduce exposure to the virus and private organizations have devised means of being productive in the midst of the pandemic.This research covers five chapters and has x-rayed the concept of Corona virus and it's relationship with organizational innovativeness.The simple random sampling was used to select the respondents, the sample size was determined using Taro Yame formula at 95% confidence level. The data collected was presented in tables and the Chi square X2  test of Independence was used to analyze the data.

Study concluded that Covid 19 pandemic  significantly relates to organizations innovativeness in the private sector of Rivers State.One of the recommendations of the study is that creativity, proactiveness and risktaking should be encouraged in private firms.
