ABSTRACT

This study was primarily aimed at assessing the impact of employee morale on organizational effectiveness using a comparative approach at Lagos civil service and Cadbury. To achieve this aim, the study perused relevant publications and textbooks to develop a conceptual
framework.  Moreover, it used the survey design and questionnaire/interview as research instruments to obtain data.  A total of 200 questionnaires (i.e. 110 each) were given to staff of some selected Lagos civil service and Cadbury respectively.  The data analysis was done
with the use of statistical tools of simple percentage while hypothesis testing was carried out with correlation analysis. The study revealed that: The corporate motivational tools and corporate policies in the organization are adequate for the job. The organization policies pertaining employee’s motivation is sufficient to impact positively on organizational goal achievement. The agitation by employee in the organization for immediate improvement concerning existing motivational tools are promptly responded to the various financial package given to staff improve their financial capacity to meet with some personal needs. The study of the fulfillment of more
motivational incentives to public services among staffs for equity purpose.
