ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the attitude of pupil toward guidance counselling service in primary school in Oleh (A case study of Oleh Local Government Area of Delta State). To achieve the aim of this study, three null hypotheses were formulated to guide this study. Literature related to the variables under study was reviewed according to the hypothesis. Survey research design was adopted. A total sample of two hundred (200) respondents were randomly selected. The selection was done through the simple random sampling technique. As a veritable tool for data collection, the researcher constructed a questionnaire. The instrument was subjected to both face and content validities by the supervisor and experts in measurement and evaluation from (CRUTECH). To test the hypotheses and ascertain whether to reject or retain them, pearson product moment correlation analysis was considered must appropriate because of the nature of the variables involved in the study. All hypotheses were subjected to testing at 0.05 level of significance with critical values and degree of freedom. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that Government should assist in recruiting guidance and counselors into schools.
