ABSTRACT The study of this report is about the effect of corporal punishment on the schools' performance. It is directed by three objectives and these include: Forms of corporal punishment, other forms of punishments and impact of corporal Punishment on pupil's performance. The study was descriptive where stratified sampling was used to select population. It employed a total sample of 50 respondents as indicated in chapter four. Data were analyzed and presented using statistical methods of data presentation where percentages were integrated into tables. Among the forms discovered were parental/domestic, school and judicial corporal punishments.

 Other forms were found to be physical such as labor, kneeling, digging, slashing, toilet cleaning and public shaming. As a result, some of them have decided to drop out of school, becoming adult aggressive, absenteeism, and some are subjected to physical abuse, psychological effect. Among the recommendation include; conduct workshops, abolish corporal punishment, adopt classroom management techniques, develop in-session programs, review teachers' records, take appropriate and immediate disciplinary among others.
