The results of the analysis showed the parental attitude could influence academic readiness and achievement among pupils in primary schools. Therefore, it was recommended that parents should endeavour to improve on their relationship with their children. Also it was recommended that they should encourage, stimulate and entertain questions of all sorts. Also the school workers should have a better knowledge of the home problems of the pupils and this should lead to a closer co-operation. Home training and school training should properly complement each other. And lastly parents should also encourage their children to discuss freely with them; an atmosphere of freedom and friendliness should be created.
