Abstract
This research determines the effect of leadership styles on the productivity of factory workers in the organization and how effective leadership contributes to efficiency. Several literatures were reviewed on the concept of leadership, theory of leadership, leadership styles, factors of leadership etc. The population size was 200 and the sample size was 133. Data were collected from both primary and secondary sources (questionnaires, internet materials and past projects). Collected data were presented and analyzed using simple percentage and hypotheses were formulated and tested using chi-square model. It was found among others, that leadership is an important concept in management and organizational behavior. It was recommended among others that a leader should understand the behavioral pattern and idiosyncrasy of his or her subordinates before adopting a particular leadership style.
