ABSTRACT 
This study has as its primary purpose to examine critically the budgeting process and generally effect of budgetary control on the overall performance of Nestled Nigeria Plc. Furthermore, this study is to ascertain the budget and budgetary control as a tool for financial planning and management control of the organization, the intention being to determine whether budgetary control shows the degree by which actual results very from standards. This study also explain some of the factors hence helping to show good budgetary control system as an effective tool for correction of faults and ensures efficient financial planning and management control. Also the study in detail reviewed what has been written about budget and budgetary control as a tool for financial planning and management control of Nestel Nigeria Plc.  Hence, it defines the financial planning and management control of Nestled Nigeria Plc. Hence, it defines the financial objective of the organization vis-à-vis management control. However, from the findings, it showed the importance of a good budgetary control system in the attainment of management control and the corporate growth of the organization.
