The study of impact of teaching methods on improvement of students’ academic performance. a case study of some selected secondary schools in Sabon Gari Local Government Area, Zaria. Kaduna State. Aimed to investigate strategies and techniques involved in teaching. to also examine the roles of a teacher in teaching and learning process.. the method of investigation employed were the questionnaire, and interview, the informants were students and teachers. A total of one hundred (100) questionnaires was administered in the findings it is recommended that both the home and the school environment should be made exciting and conducive for learning to the children and other educational requirements such as the children library, laboratory, etc should be provided and well-equipped by parents, teachers, government and all stakeholders in education. It is also recommended that cordial relationships should exist between the parents and school authorities through active membership of Parents Teacher’s Association (PTA).
