ABSTRACT
The study was conducted to examine the impact of delegation on management decision a case study of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc Enugu Main Officer 2001 – 2004.
In purchase of this investigation, research objective were formulated, both primary and secondary data were collected, and the data were then textual graphic and tabular modes of data presentation and with simple percentage method.Based on the above, it was found that non-involvement of workers can effect decision of management and such due participation in management engenders sense of belonging. The researcher also highlighted that spirit of team work is promoted through delegation of authority. Delegation of authority also increases rate of turn over.With reference to the findings, the researcher recommended that management of all business organizations and Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Enugu Main should devise a more practical way of involving workers in decision making process through co-partnership board membership. A well designed instrument of delegation of authority, duties and responsibilities are very necessary in an organization.
It is therefore the authors belief that those recommendations will go a long to activity achieve the desired objectives if properly applied and co-ordinated by all parties concerned.
