One hundred and fifty seven (157) questionnaires were administered to one hundred and fifty seven makeshift houses in the study area. Two hypotheses were formulated and were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study revealed that, the quality of makeshift housing in Ikom urban was not significantly influenced by the income of the occupiers and there was no significant variation in the quality of makeshift housing stock in the different neighbourhoods in Ikom urban.
