ABSTRACT
This research work deals with the impact of financial ratios and cash flow statement in measuring business performance. Due to certain constraint, the study is centered on selected enterprises in Enugu metropolis. The work has one of its objects to provide information that is useful to present to potential investors, creditors, and other users in making rational investment, credit and similar decisions.
This presentation is logical as we climb the steps from chapter one to five.
In chapter one, you will see the back of the study, statement of the problems, objectives of the study, Hypothesis, significance of the study, scope/ limitation of the study and the definition of terms.
Chapter two, reviewed related literatures to the subject matter with special reference to financial ratios like; liquidity, leverage, profitability and activity ratios.
In chapter three, method of the research and its design is treated.
While chapter four deals with the presentation, analysis, interpretation of data and test of hypothesis. However, the questionnaire used has both open ended and close ended question. To make the work an invaluable material, secondary data were also used together with the primary data. Responses were analyzed by means of tables. The analysis revealed that almost all incorporated companies at this moment base their management decision making on the result computed from the calculation of financial ratios and cash flow statements.
Finally, chapter five, the work is summarized with conclusion and recommendations.
