ABSTRACT
One of the major organizational problem has been the unsatisfactory behaviors of workers about their management and organizations.
In view of this, the study of morale of employees in a profit driven organization was carried out using union Bank Plc Abakaliki Branch as a case study.
The population for the study comprised all the staff in union bank Plc Abakaliki Branch. A survey method of research was used in carrying out the research.
Questionnaires and personal interview were the instrument used for data collection.
Tables and simple percentage were used in answering the questionnaire.
The  findings of the study were. That the workers enjoy their work and there is a good friendly relationship between them and the management which help to boos their morale; that there are good pay related incentives and benefits available to employees which help to boost the morale of the workers, that positive relationship exist between staff morale productivity profit level. That cross   training is a very strong technique in boosting employee morale; that the number  of hours they work each weeks is too long and this lowers their morale.
Based on the findings, some recommendation were made to enhance employees morale as w ell as achievement of corporate goals.
