Abstract
We live in an age, which is experiencing an ever-increasing use of computer in diver’s areas of human endeavours. The introduction of computer technology has such made available a good number of office equipment and machines like computers word processors, scanning machines, printers and lot more in various offices. This project work expects to create awareness and the importance of computer literacy on the challenges of information technology to secretaries, in public and government establishments. The identification and development of scientific knowledge to create both new tools and materials and to effectively use them lies on computer literacy. Since the inception of computer in this present age, a lot of changes have been in the financial institutions, administrative work and communication field as well. Evas of computer generation have made this a reality. According to the data’s used by the research in one of the findings, the introduction of computer has been of immense help to UBA Bank, Enugu. In productivity, standard and fastness in production work. The invention of computers and modern office equipment has not threatened the job security of the modern secretaries instead it enhances their job performance.
