ABSTRACT
This study is a research into the study of the management of void transport in Nigeria (a case study of abc transport company ltd, Enugu. The purpose of the study is to unravel the modus operandi ie the management strategy adopted by the transport companies to off set the problems of in effectiveness and inefficiency with which most transport companies are characterized. It show case the strategy applied by the company to season this workers for better performance in the transport industry. While carrying out the research, the data collection method adopted was the questionnaires, the statistical used was chi-square . a total of 25 questionnaire were distributed out of which twenty were returned. The findings from the hypothesis and research show that the services marketing mix adopted by the transport operative had to a very large extent lead to increase in customer patronage especially recently.
Again, the promotional mix elements used by the transport organization have an impact on customer patronage remarkably.
The recommendation are as follows.
The researcher recommends the appointment of road translation managers for effective revision of nominal rolls and distribution of rickets on time.
These managers will be defectively monitored to avoid embezzlement of fund collection.
The road transportation management should make use of modern information system (MFS) to computerize and accord transport business and it’s practitioners for adequate improvement of the management.
A blend of promotional strategy should be adopted in order to in crease patronage, such as advertising and publicity.
Using the media to educate people about the importance of conformity to the service marketing mix adopted by the transport operators
The management of national road transportation union should advice the government to make wider consultation before the removal of oil subsidy.
