This study was designed to investigate the knowledge and attitude of senior secondary school students towards drug abuse in Ijebu- North Local Government Area of Ogun State. Three hypothesis questions were formulated to guide the study. A survey design was used and the population consists of hundred (100) students from two (2) senior secondary school in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. A sample of 50 students each was randomly selected (comprising of both male and female) to participate in the study. The data collected were analyzed using chi-square method of data analysis and demographic data was analyzed using simple percentage and frequency distribution tasks. The entire hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that there is significant relationship between students’ knowledge and attitudes towards drug abuse (x2=56.720;> x2 7.815). The findings also revealed a significant relationship between gender difference in student knowledge and attitude towards drug abuse (x2 =20.400; >x27.815). The findings revealed a significant relationship between students’ knowledge and preventive strategies of drug abuse among the students (x2=47.120;>x27.815). The result shows that knowledge they acquire through drug education will enable the student to avoid the misuse of drugs. In the course of the study, it was recommended that secondary schools students should consider the benefit of drug education so as to raise their quality of learning, consistency in school and increase their experience.
