Details/Dead Line : Metabolic networks in living things often involve hundreds of chemicals and thousands of reactions. Models of these systems typically involve very large systems of Ordinary Differential Equations and this project would be concerned with a rapidly-developing family of modern tools to analyse such systems. Some of these methods require tools from computational Algebra, notably Gröbner bases, while others are more closely related to dynamical systems.
