ABSTRACT

This research was carried out on the impact of agriculture on economic growth and was done in Kalungu district where one hundred and seven respondents were involved and questionnaires were administered to them. The independent variable studied was agriculture and the dependent variable was economic growth. The research output revealed that there is a positive relationship between agriculture and economic growth in Kalungu district. The researcher discovered that economic growth has a positive relationship between food supply and the income level implying that more efforts need to be made in order to boost production and uplift the status of the citizen.
