According to Nitecheze the Superman is an authentic person which evolves into a sup erman by using the principle of discipline and mastery of oneself.man's authenticity does not come from mere wishes nor lying around but requires aggressive decision, persistence and perseverance,courage and strength to endure many forms of sufferings and to overcome alienation brought about his environment otherwise man will be a slave of his own desired and alien to his own powers,talents and capacity
OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF THE STUDY
This study attempts to investigate the concept of the superman in Nietzsche’s moral philosophy. In other to achieve this objective, the work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the introduction which contains the statement of the problem, objective and scope of the study, methodology, significance and biography of Nietzsche’s moral philosophy. The second chapter deals with the literature review.
The third chapter discusses the following sub-topics which are: the influence to Nietzsche’s moral philosophy, Nietzsche on morality, the will to power, the exceptional man and Nietzsche, master-slave morality and the notion of the superman in Nietzsche. The fourth chapter concludes the work with an evaluation of Nietzsche’s philosophy and the summary in which the work rounds off the position of the essay.
