ABSTRACTEarly marriage has been identified as a trade that does more harm than good to families and the society at large. This result to lack of care, unprepared child bearing, domestic violence, lost of education lost of confidence as well as inability of the spouse to provide the basic need of the family. The purpose of this research work is to analyze the impact of Television in the campaign against the scourge of early marriage. For proper scrutiny Oyi Local Government area was used as case study. The research adopted survey as a suitable research design. In this design, questionnaire were generated and distributed to respondent with the aim of gathering data which were analyzed with table, simple percentage was also used. It was however discovered that a good number of factor were responsible for early marriage, among them is, lack of parental care, ignorant about the implications of early marriage, lack of education, gender bias, pressure from family and friends and economic situation. The researcher however commends Television for the effort and victory which they achieved so far in the campaign against early marriage. Government on its own should address the major economic situation or challenge that endangers the youth who indulge in early marriage.
